A new school year is always an exciting time for all!  Welcome back to our returning students, and welcome to the Jones Family for our newcomers!  We are very proud of our Jones Staff and their efforts in preparing for the upcoming school year.
At the beginning of each school year, parents often ask how they can support their children.  There are several things that parents can do to support student success.  I encourage you to get involved in our school by volunteering for various campus activities and supporting your students at home.
    Please take time to:

    • Maintain contact with your child’s teacher throughout the school year.  Communication will come home in your child’s AVID binder.  Conference with your child’s teacher.  This is a great time to get to know them and work together.
    • Encourage your child to do their best every day.  In the evenings ask your child about what he or she learned.
    • Read with your child, or have your child read to you.
    • Review math facts and concepts with your child.
    • Review your child’s agenda/planner and make note of important dates.
    • Check your child’s grade online using the parent access.

Our goal is to challenge your child academically, emotionally and socially by guiding them as they become independent learners, thinkers, problem solvers and productive citizens in our community.
